Privacy and cookie policy

What we collect, why, who else is involved, and the choices you have.

Who we are

CityGuides360 (cityguides360.com) is published by Dublin 360, Ireland. Dublin 360 is the data controller for this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, for visitors in the UK, the UK GDPR.

You can reach us through our contact page or by email at info@dublin-360.com.

The short version

  • You can read this site without giving us any personal details.
  • We don't run analytics or advertising trackers of our own, and we don't sell your data.
  • Two booking partners (Stay22 and GetYourGuide) only load if you accept cookies.
  • If you click through to a partner such as Viator, Tiqets or Ticketmaster, that site's own privacy policy applies from then on.

Information we collect

When you use the contact form

We collect your name, your email address and your message. We use them only to read and reply to your message. The form is sent by email to our inbox at info@dublin-360.com. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps you ask for before entering into an agreement with us. We keep messages only as long as we need to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them.

To stop spam, the form has a hidden field that people never see, and it limits how many messages can be sent from one internet address in a short time. For that limit we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address with the time of sending, and delete it within a day.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records technical details of each request to the server: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser type and the referring page. These logs are used to keep the site running securely and to investigate faults or abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Logs are kept for a limited period under the hosting provider's retention settings and are not used to identify visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

We don't set any advertising or analytics cookies of our own. We store one small item in your browser's local storage, cg360-consent, to remember whether you accepted or rejected cookies. This is strictly necessary to respect your choice and needs no consent.

How consent works

The first time you visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject optional cookies. Both buttons are equally available, and nothing optional loads until you choose Accept. You can change your mind at any time with the link in the footer of every page. If you reject after accepting, the page reloads without the partner scripts.

On tour pages you can also load GetYourGuide's offers on their own, with the "Load GetYourGuide offers" button, without accepting anything else.

Third parties

Stay22 (only if you accept)

Stay22 provides a script that turns links to hotels and booking sites into affiliate links, so we can earn a commission if you book a stay. When it loads, Stay22 receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies or similar identifiers to track the referral. Bookings may then be completed on Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda or other partners, under their own privacy policies. See Stay22's privacy policy.

GetYourGuide widgets (only if you accept or press the load button)

Some pages show tour offers from GetYourGuide inside a widget that loads from GetYourGuide's servers. When it loads, GetYourGuide receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies to show prices and credit bookings to us. See GetYourGuide's privacy policy.

Fonts (no Google Fonts)

The typefaces on this site (Gloock and Manrope) are served from our own server. We don't load Google Fonts or any other font service, so no font provider receives your IP address when you visit.

Affiliate links: Viator, Tiqets, Ticketmaster and others

Booking buttons and links for Viator, Tiqets, Ticketmaster (through the Impact network), GetYourGuide and hotel booking sites are ordinary links. Nothing from these companies loads on our pages. If you click one, you leave our site, and the partner (and, for Ticketmaster, Impact) may set cookies on their own site to record that you came from us. That processing is their responsibility under their own privacy policies. Read more in our affiliate disclosure.

Our hosting and email providers

Hostinger hosts the website and Google (Gmail) hosts our email inbox. They process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it.

International transfers

Some of the companies above are based in, or use servers in, countries outside the European Economic Area and the UK, such as the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on safeguards recognised under data protection law, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it;
  • receive your data in a portable format, where that applies;
  • withdraw consent at any time, for example through Cookie settings, without affecting anything done before.

To use any of these rights, contact us or email info@dublin-360.com. We'll reply within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie. If you live in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning trips. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
